Introduction

The CAAML V5.0 Profile 'US Avalanche Centers' aims to facilitate the exchange of avalanche safety information among the US avalanche forecasting centers. This standard only contains the subset of CAAML elements needed to support the exchange of information as specified by Ethan Greene (Colorado Avalanche Information Center), Bruce Tremper (Utah Avalanche Center), Andy Anderson (Sierra Avalanche Center), and Karl Birkeland (Forest Service National Avalanche Center).
